Chris Colgan, LEED AP BD+C, ID+C

Senior Architectural Designer

Chris received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Temple University in 2005, and a Master of Environmental Building Design degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013.  He has had extensive experience in design/build and ornamental metalwork projects where fine-tuned detailing was paramount.  That background, coupled with a wide swath of experience in commercial interiors projects, has provided him with a solid footing for creative, detail-oriented design solutions.

Chris likes to focus on the technical aspects of architectural practice, given his hands-on experience with how things are actually constructed.  He strives to be deliberate and efficient in order to work toward the best possible solution for not only the client but also for the contractor as well.  He believes good design is a dialogue where collaboration and communication are the ingredients for success.  Chris also strongly believes that sustainability is at the forefront of the future of architecture and should also be a day-to-day mindset in people’s actions as well.

Prior to joining the Tantillo Architecture team, Chris worked for Jacobs (formerly KlingStubbins), Veyko, and as a carpenter for a number of years.  He resides in the Olde Kensington area of Philadelphia where he designed and built his own house. He is passionate about a multitude of interests, but highest on the list are volleyball, woodworking, and hanging out with his dogs.
