Our Philosophy
TA was formed in 2005 with the goal of providing Principal-driven, creative design solutions for each project. Client service is integral to the firm’s DNA and every employee embraces this mantra from beginning-to-end of every project. TA is focused on creating thoughtful design solutions with a studied emphasis on proportion, materiality, and use of light to highlight the character of each space. Pairing our designs down to yield the maximum impact of the materiality and proportion provides a richness and clarity that enlivens the impact of our designs. Understanding the way materials interact and detailing these connections in a precise fashion further reinforces the clarity of our design solutions.
Our approach is that every project is different and requires a unique design solution specific to that client’s goals. There isn’t a “one-size fits all” approach, rather there is a clear understanding that TA will bring an authenticity and rigor to maximize a client’s goals beyond their expectations.
Our Process
TA starts every project by engaging the Client in a free form dialogue seeking to uncover a range of ideas and motivations in which to inform the design solution. Presenting images to the client from our internal library and various other resources in a taste test packet gives the team a baseline language when discussing styles, materials, colors, forms, and textures. Understanding and analyzing the nuances of the site from a global, regional, institutional, environmental, spatial, visual, structural, and economic perspective provides us with the tools to craft unique environments.
TA believes in a collaborative process where all ideas are welcome for debate and are measured against the criteria of goals established over the course of the ideation process. The testing of ideas only serves to strengthen the final design product and flushes out the unnecessary, redundant, inconsistent, overlooked, and random elements that may negatively impact the final design. The use of 3D renderings, CAD drawings, hand sketches, physical models, full size mock-ups, critical path diagrams, and programming spreadsheets are some of the tools we use to communicate our ideas to the client, consultants, and contractors.

They have brought us as far south as Florida, as far north as Massachusetts, and as far west as California. Our team of architects and designers brings their diverse background and experience to bear on each project combined with a precise attention to detail and client service.
TA provides architectural and interior design services from concept design through construction documentation to project administration and final project closeout. Providing turn-key solutions and navigating the nuances of the various municipalities around the country is our strong-suit. Knowing the international codes and being able to ask the right questions of the local boards is key to providing services across the country.

Our People
The office is organized as a collaborative studio environment with a culture of open dialogue and exchange of ideas to support solutions across the various on-going projects. TA staff are dedicated to client service and elevating the design outcome of every project. Our office works with a pace, with a never-say-no approach to client schedules that keeps projects on tract and clients coming back time and again for their next project.
