Trained as a landscape architect and architect and practiced as an urban designer, Luke is a designer of the built environment focused on perpetuating systems that support vibrant, long-lasting cities. His perspective on design is that of a means not an end; a tool to resolve issues through strategies and solutions that are creative, unique and layered. Specifically, it means an intense focus on the intersection between ecological sensitivity, economic success and social justice, without diminishing either. He has worked collaboratively on dozens of projects at home and internationally from regional scale comprehensive plans down to detail and construction documentation. At each scale, he considers the interrelated opportunities and issues of a place, space, object or district that hinder growth as prospects to define future character and success.
