The restaurant carries a theme and desire to evoke Peruvian tradition with a contemporary flare. Peru is home to 37 mountains with peaks greater than 6,000 meters. Drawing inspiration from this undulating terrain and traditional Totora reed fishing boats, a unique and dynamic ceiling spans across the bar and dining room, animating the space and providing a warm ambience. The 250+ ceiling ribs were parametrically modeled to create a sculptural woven texture, to conform to the building’s narrow footprint, and to conceal the HVAC supply duct feeding air to the front of the restaurant. The ribs and finishing panels were  CNC milled out of solid white oak, and individually hand-assembled on site.
